nametag

i hate this. i DESPISE this. i could've done everything better and making this was just as miserable as the result. i learned that i hate making nametags and if i have to make another one i'll explode. this was decorative but it's more of an eyesore than a decoration.

name stamps

the stamps... these were a nightmare to make. i made them at the beginning of the semester and they did NOT work as intended. they're supposed to be my name but they either didn't imprint in the clay or they came out as a blob. also they're covered in clay so thats why they look dirty. these were meant to be functional but i got no real use out of them.

texture stamps

most of mine broke but these are the remaining two... corn and an eyeball. i really really like the eyeball one cuz i think the way i sculpted it looks nice. i messed up the glaze tho, so i could've done better on that. i used teal glaze for the eye and no glaze for the corn. these are functional (although i never actually used them) and i use the eyeball stamp as a decoration.

glaze magnets

not much to say about these. they were really simple but i think i was absent for part of it so thx to my partner for finishing them for me. shoutout to virgil hes cool. there's a variety of glazes used for these since they're glaze sample magnets but the base was some sort of brown-ish red color. these are functional and decorative since i use them as magnets on my locker and they look cool! i learned what certain glazes look like so it helped me learn something new too.

simple pinch pot

this was easy besides the annoying cracking that kept happening around the edges. i made a lot of these but for the sake of the site layout im not gonna put another pic in. the glaze job is kinda janky since i was just experimenting (i did NOT look at the magnets for reference) but i think it looks cool. i wish i made this a bit smoother, but overall im proud of it and im happy i made something thats very functional! i use this to store jewlery making stuff. i used a couple of different random purple/pink glazes.

pinch pot with stuff on it (sculptural)

I LOVED MAKING THIS ONE!! i got it done really quick since i was terribly angry while making it and took out all of my energy from being angry and put it into this pinch pot. it holds my rings in it and also the things on it are eyeballs. i should've made this bigger but overall this is one of the best things i've made all semester. i learned that slapping clay can really help get my anger out! i used a mixture of black and blue glazes for this project.

pallette

nyan cat pallette. it's pretty good!! i really like how it came out and i have been using it for stuff (obviously lol). one thing i could've done better was make the bottom of it more smooth but thats alright. overall i really like it and im proud of myself! i used clear glaze and thats it. very functional.

simple coil pot

kinda ugly, but it was my first time making anything coily. the glaze is meh. not bad but not awesome. overall meh cuz i hated making it but i do use it for my hello kitty figures. i wish i made this thicker and more even but i'm proud of myself for actually being able to make something. i learned that coil pots are a nightmare to make and i should just use the coil maker next time. i used a mix of dark glazes.

exposed coil pot

i think this is one of my favorite things ive made. the coils, the glaze, the size... its so perfect. it was really fun to make too. there's nothing i'd imrprove and im most proud of the entire thing! i used red and cyan glaze for this and it worked out perfectly. very functional and also pretty as a decoration!

circlematic...

the goblet..... oh my god this is HORRIBLE but it was so fun to make. its ugly and wobbly and i do NOT trust putting any liquid in it so it just sits in my room. its fun tho. i wish i could go back and improve the sizing, thickness, and even-ness, but i am proud that i got something together. this was supposed to be functional but now it's more of a janky decoration. i used a mix of cool-toned glazes for my goblet.

slab box

ah yes, the coffin. its alright. the lid just kinda sits on there but it works!! i use it to store random small stuff in my bedroom. it was alright to make. the slabs didnt wanna stick together but i got it to work. overall, i'm pretty proud of my ability to make something functional out of crappy slabs, but i would go back and improve the glazing and the lid if i could. functional and decorative! i used black and blue glazes.

DINNERWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE THESE. I. LOVE. THESE. i'm really proud of myself for making something that actually looks good. one problem tho. the glaze. the white glaze... its really patchy and even though it's fine to eat off of it still doesn't look the best. also i hate the cups. i should've used black for the inside. the glazes i used were black, red, and white. i also used transparent to seal everything. very functional!

creature

this thing has a cat head, unicorn horn, human torso (without limbs) and a lizard(?) tail. i wish i could've made it bigger, but overall i like it am proud of it because i actually got something together. it's unglazed since i didn't have time to glaze it but it's a decorative piece. it's also functional since it's function is to confuse people.
